Hello,
I introducing myself, I think you will be hearing alot from me in the months to come.
I was a G.M tech for 16 years, just recently removed myself from working at the dealerships. My son is getting of age and I haven't had a project car in years, just didn't feel like working on cars when I got home after doing it all day.
"The car", is a 1999 conv firebird, started it's life as a V6. I pulled the motor from it and put it in a 1968 firebird for a customer, I know why a 3.8 in a 68 firebird, that's what he wanted. So I bought the rest of the car, traded a 66 mustang which was going to be for my son, but I felt we needed to go with something newer. He will not be dealing with carbs when he gets older. All they read about is turbo's and fuel injection.Car is really clean.
So I decided to go with a 6.0L and change heads ect, and add a turbo, I have the engine and will start on that soon. Right now it's getting the car ready, rear end, frame mods ect. Looking forward to talking with you guys.
