Black- 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee
New Member
Just joining to look around and hopefully learning a few things. I have always been into cars and will be soon looking for a new toy. Currently the wife and I have a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee Special Edition. My DD is a 2004 Ford Explorer (company).
Would be nice to have a corvette but with a family a few more seats are needed. I thought about the TBSS or even the new G8.

Thanks, I went to UNL so take your purple pride somewhere else
Well maybe he will chime in but to be honest the TBSS has some issues. Don't get me wrong I would like to replace the Grand Cherokee with the SS but not wanting the problems that come with a 395 hp 2 ton suv.

Well as far as problems with the TBSS the only ones so to speak are the trannies. If your gonna be hauling heavy loads or beating the dog piss out of then I recommend having the 2nd and 4th gear servos replaced with a shift kit. If your going to drive it daily and not really thrash on it then it will be ok. I would install a tranny cooler regardless just to help keep the temps down. There is quite a gew TBSS sites that has tons of great info about them. I wouldn't trade ours for anything. I'm going to have the tranny built with a stall conv included so when I start modding one less thing I have to worry about. SO what problems other than that are you refering to with the TB's?

I think the tranny problems was it. I know for sure I would go with the 2wd over the AWD.
Its just if I wanted to ad to my garage I doubt a TBSS would be it. The wife loves the Jeep to death. Also if I was to do any modding I can't have the car down for longer then a few days.
Oh how do I get rid of the instant notification? I have it set for weekly but there are a couple that are instant.
