Black- 2001 T/A M6
New Member
Hi I just joined LS1.com. I have a 2001 T/A WS6 i've been reading threads and post and such most of the day, i've learned a lot so far but would still like a few tidbits and pointers, things i should be doing first and last and things i should know about these cars such as common breakdowns and costly preventive maintance
as of right now, i need brakes and rotors, i want to get drilled and slotted rotors but don't know which pattern to use or if it matters, 2nd i need an exaust already
i refuse to pay for a new exaust without putting on headers first, i've been reading post all day about headers, Y,X,H, pipes, true duals, mufflers and cats and so on. I can't afford a $1000+ system for that now and i want this to be a street car, weekends and sunny days only its not an everyday driver. So i would like some ideas and help with things i should being doing first, bolt-ons i suppose. any help is much appreciated

Stay away from drilled and slotted rotors, try a quality blank from Brembo!

whats wrong with drilled and slotted rotors for these cars? and what the hell is a blank lol, just a normal rotor?

Just a normal rotor yes. The more holes/slots you have the brakes will not perform as well. The only good drilling does is make it look bling and could (probably will) crack/warp the rotor.

hey a good thing about drilled and slotted roters are that the cool themselves faster. that is the main purpose of the drilled holes. plus they do look pretty cool.
