LS1 New Member
Hello everyone my name is Ed, I am from the Bay Area C.A., and I have been a proud owner of a 2000 Camaro Z-28 LS1 for 10 years now. I joined the site to meet others with LS1's and gain some new knowledge about various parts, performance, and just to share my passion for the ultimate muscle car. My maro currently has a Hurst 6-speed short throw shifter, SLP MAF, SLP high-flow air box lid, and a K&N air filter. I recently cut off my Borla Pro XS exhaust system off because it was not loud enough for me. I am currently researching exhausts and I am deciding on a Flowmaster Super 40(I would like more info on the Super 44 and the difference between the Super40), or a true dual Flowmaster exhaust system with the X-pipe. I want that deep, nasty, throaty sound that will wake up my neighbors, put off car alarms, and just to complement my LS1. I appreciate any feedback. Nice to meet all you LS1 owners.

You know what I don't have a picture right now, but as soon as I wash that thing, and take a couple of pictures, I will put it up. You got any advice on a exhaust system? I am trying to decide whether to put a Super 40 Flowmaster because I have always liked the Flowmaster sound, or a Flowmaster true dual exhaust system. I want to be 100% sure before I put in the money and work. Thanks

I have never personally cared for "the Flowmaster sound"... been a Magnaflow fan for years. It is your car, so do whatever makes you happy. You can check out different sounding systems at http://www.ls1sounds.com

Yeah, I have heard a lot of negative things about Flowmaster, but I guess it's personal preference. I know magnaflow is a very good performance exhaust. Thanks for the site, and by the way what kind of magnaflow are you running?

After hours of research and listening to different exhausts at LS1 sounds, I'm leaning towards a true-dual setup with a pair of Spintech super pro street mufflers. Now I'm having a hard time deciding whether I want to go with Kooks or American Racing headers and an X or H pipe setup. Any advice is appreciated. Right on.

Thanks for the welcoming everyone, I have not had the chance to take a pic of my Maro because the weather in the bay has been terrible, but as soon as I throw some soap on that bad boy and wash em I'll definitely put em up. Right on.
