Midnight blue- 1999 Camaro Z28
New to an LS1!
Well I'm not exactly new here. I joined in December 2005, and was on the older site a few years before that. However, while I have wanted to for years, I have never owned an LS1...until Wednesday. It is a 1999 Camaro Z28, 6-speed manual. While the owner said it was bone stock besides the radio, I can see he was wrong just looking at the hood. Not sure what hood that is even, anyone know? I am also a newbie in many ways, so if you see something that doesn't look stock, please let me know (engine, rims, etc.). I have to order a license plate holder, I know the duct tape looks ghetto lol. Anyway, here are the pics!

Looks like the Ultra Z hood, I could be wrong though and the rims look like they are 10 spokes off of a SS camaro. Any way welcome (back) to the site!

2016 Camaro SS - Summit- 2001 Trans Am WS6 - NBM
Looks pretty stock under the Hood. The Hood itself is an aftermarket "Ultra Z". The rims are stock for an SS, not for your Z28 though, nice looking car. Also looks like you got borla exhaust. Tips for sure, if not the whole cat back. Expensive setup so I would say free upgrade there.

Thanks for the welcome and kind words, everyone. Glad to know the rims are from an SS and what my hood is now. As for the exhaust, I will check out what's there tomorrow, and possibly try and get a pic if I can.
It's fun to be back and be a newbie all over again. While I did own one Gen 4 before, it was a 1993 T/A. This is a whole different ballgame with the LS1.Last edited by White Knight; 02-05-2012 at 10:49 PM.

not sure about the cat-back it should say borla on the muffler, one more thing i saw in your car that is not stock is the bow-tie front grill, i would not put a plate on there it takes the look away. Also it looks like you got a k&n air filter. It looks like a K&N do not remove sticker on the lid. just the berry berry basic mod's. i would start with a good clean up under the engine bay, detail the whole car, tune up, then more bolt on's. Great car by the way

One more thing that I think isn't stock (but not 100% sure): My Z28 fender decal. Sorry for the bad pic (car is dirty and it's nighttime).
