New here!! Hola brothas and sistas!
supsup
just got a 99 v6 camaro. 78k (all highway miles), power EVERYTHING, for 10k!!! all that for a mid to high 14's ride. my friends and the seller said it was a great deal for such a nice and FAST ride.
ok now... heres the question i pose to you all. yes the 1 meeeeeeeeiiiillllllion dollar question,
option 1 - buy ALL the boltons ( i should be as fast as a STOCK SS ) but be a total sleeper
OR
option 2 - get all the SS options, such as the SS emblems, hood and rims... then wait til a few months later then get all the boltons
decisions !Last edited by coolness111; 09-15-2006 at 09:05 PM.

Just to rub it in a little bit more. I bought my current 00 z28 with all options, leather seats, even 17"rims, subframe connectors, strut bar, bilstein on all corners, loudmouth, lid, and i dont remember what else, with 14k miles for an unbeatable price of 13k dollars

Hola Nu B
Camaro's are cool but a V6? With 78K miles on it- The seller must have seen the "Look of desire" on your face LOL. And SS badging won't make it any quicker but it's your's to enjoy and do whatever you want with it.
P.S. I just love that old selling catch phrase- All highway miles.

yea but if u dink about it
a v6 saves more gas and is cheaper on the insurance plus with all my boltons, its as fast as a z28 or ss. thats why i'm getting the ss emblems

as the king of n00bs welcome. 10k for a v6 is iffy, why not get a 98 z or t/a with around that mileage.pshh if you think about it..a v8 is a v8.. so yea..the insurance part your right on...but don't get ss badges if its not a ss..a hood and so on is fine..but dont get the badges. welcome to the fourms and don't be shy, post up and learn about the 3800.

Yea, so I'm not gonna tell you you shoulda got an LS1... You already have the V6, so now get the bolt-ons, Turbo, or Blower, and you'll def wanna beef it up enough to get some NOS. I'm all about "Motor 1st" & "Looks 2nd"... You're also def gonna wanna change out that stock exhaust. I'd recommend a "MagnaFlow" Catback.
Welcome, and enjoy!

why all the hate ? the v6 is a nice, fast muscle car. i have more cyclinders than a EVO or the STi. my car has the same potential as a supra (v6 mind you)
300zx and a whole bunch of other cars. once i swap a turbo in there, it will be one fast mofo.
besides, a v8 is too heavy. i have less weight

Not Haten
Hey Coolness- I'm not haten you bro. #1. You did get an American car.
#2. It's a Camaro and #3. You plan on beefing it up ie; turbo-nos etc.
So I give that credit but what's with putting on SS badging except to fool someone but when someone hears that V6, they're going to LOL.

1- Yes, its an american muscle car.
2- Its a Camaro
3- The V6 and V8 sounds almost the same. If i put lots of boltons, it will actually sound a bit meaner than the v8. Theres nothing wrong with putting SS badge on the car. All Camaros are the same whether its a Z28, SS or a V6. They are not going to "LOL." I'll do the same back to them.

Hey coolness I think you should have done alot more research before buying your camaro. Also you should think before you post. Most of the things you have posted have made other members come out and get you straight, but that doesnt seem to work. But really, for your reputations sake try and learn from most of the guys here and dont try to make persuade us that your opinions are facts.
