    Hey everyone
    Ive been playing with the idea of buying a 98ish TA and came across this site. Don't mind me, I will be lurking here from time to time.
    As a mechanic for 20+ years and a small auto shop owner for 10 of that I may through in my .02$ every once in awhile on the tech end of things.
    Well Im off to snooping around the threads.

    Welcome! I understand your dilemma. When I first looked at our T/A back in 2008, the fact that it had an A4 was almost a deal breaker. However, after driving the car I decided to go ahead with the purchase. Three years later I have no regrets and recently upgraded to a Performabuilt Level II Pro Race version of the 4L60E. So go with whatever you think will make you happy.

    It can be a tough decision. Really kind of depends on your daily driving habits and the area in which you live. At least it did for me.
