Silver- 2012 2LT 'Vert 6-sp stick
New guy from PA
Greetings! I am picking up a '01 Z28 'Vert this week so i joined the group. This pretty Z is pewter with a black top, has 36k original miles and has a 6 speed stick which i read is somewhat rare. Looking forward to sharing and learning about my LS1 powered machine.

Well, I didn't get the car. Drove 3.5 hours to test it out with cash in my pocket, but did not buy it. I was kind of unhappy after driving all that way to find that even though the car was gorgeous and drove fantastic, it didn't have emission and safety inspection stickers on it (even though I asked 3 times over the phone) plus the 'check engine' light came on, the speaker in the door was rattling and worst of all, it sounded like a bearing in the rear end differential was on its way out, making nasty noise.
Not what I expected on a car that they were asking 12K for or one that only had 37k miles on it. So I basically wasted 7 hours, except for the 20 minutes that I drove it and enjoyed the acceleration, man is that thing fast!! I loved the 6-speed stick!
Then, after they originally said they would pay off the 3800 I owed on my Magnum, they only offered 2000.
Bye, see ya. So now I decided to keep my Magnum for another year until it's paid off......then next Spring I will look again.
Some things are just not meant to be.

Well, the door isn't slammed shut yet. I have heard from them again, they will be fixing the things that I mentioned and perhaps we will yet do business together. I really do love the car, but for the price they are asking, it has to be totally right before I will take it.
In the meantime, I sunk more money into my Dodge Magnum and I am leaving for my Spring Fling vacation down in the Carolinas around 8 AM.
Time will tell, we will see.
