Ironic that the mitsi is sitting next to a p51d mustang.. P51 was responsable for putting quite a few mitsi's on the bottom of the Pacific..

Thanks for the welcome to the "Nut house!" lol I should fit right in!! Here are some random pix. I did that header into the telephone pole while texting! Damn T9! lol
For more info, as to why I have all these kids' signatures on the car, you can visit www.wingedwarrior.org and come out and race with us May 8th. ORP Indy! Lots of fun for the kids.
I have raced this car at Putnam Park, Indy Drag strips, and autox tracks. Plus light to light action.
LOL. I had the car at World of Wheels a few years ago, and put a "Special" Sticker on the car, to see how many people actually read the stickers in the first place. When they spotted it, I would laugh and say: "I had to pull alot of strings to get that sponsor" LOL

Some very cool pictures and then... a couple sad as well. Ouch!
The Winged Warrior program sounds like a great time and very worthy cause as well

That is a p51 sport plane without the bubble canopy the original p51 did'nt have a bubble canopy..(sp).. The other plane is a mitsubishi Zero with a 2 vein prop rather than the 3 vein they were produced with.. The only other plane it may be is a Curtis p40 warhawk which the p51 mustange was based on..

2002 Z28 A4 NBM- Sadly now demodded :(
P51 had the radiator in the belly of the plane. That plane has the radiator under the engine. And the prop is way too small.
I'm quite familiar with the differences between the A thru C models and the D and later models...
And what other plane are you talking about?

I think you're right. The other one in the larger pic is a zero or a "betty" bomber. The p51d had a 4 vein prop when in production, and yes it had large prop, so large that the rolling angle had to be so steep that pilots whom flew it had to meander left to right to see where they were going. The p40 had a forward rad and 3 vein prop.

It's not a P40 either. Squared off vs rounded wingtips. Probably some kind of trainer.
Also, the other plane appears to be an A6 Texan which is a trainer. Tricycle landing gear gave it away.
I'm very familiar with WWII Warbirds...
