NEW GUY..building LS1 Porsche
Hey Everybody!
Names Ryan. I have been working on my LS1 swap into my 88 Porsche 944 turbo for the past couple months. Getting there one day at a time. This place among others have been a big help along the way! I hope to learn a lot more from all of you. I fell in love with the LSx motors after purchasing my 07 Trailblazer SS a couple years ago. That pushed me into scrapping the under-powered outdated 88 turbo engine for some cheap reliable horsepower!

Ask and you shall receive. Not too many right now since I have been selling old stuff to stock the new. Very time consuming. But, here is what I have so far.

Motor had to be dropped out through the bottom per Porsche. Thank goodness for chain hoists. Ha

Sold the turbo engine and bought a LS6 intake today for $310 shipped. Removing the heads from the LS1 tomorrow to get them ported and polished. Ordered my conversion kit from Texas Performance Concepts last week. Ordering their custom long tube ceramic coated headers within the next two weeks. And then starting on the much anticipated wiring! I'll keep you guys posted. Guess I should carry this over to a build thread huh?

Welcome to LS1.com!
Very interesting build idea!
I am assuming you're using a 951 platform? Sounds awesome!
Your build will have many subscribers here..
Suggestion: If you are particularly irritated by another member's posting habits and are constantly fighting the urge to flame them, you can click on that person's profile, and select "Add to ignore list." This will make that person's posts invisible to you.

Great project! You should have an amazing car when you finish. G'day and welcome.
It's not how fast you can go. It's how fast you can get there.
