While it's a one time $20 payment to join and become a full member, you can ask for Honorary membership which will give you full access for 3 or 6 months (I forget which). This allows you to meet folks, post stuff and all the other things a full member gets. After that you decide if you want to stay around.
FWIW, we have non-members that just check the Classifieds for items they need (they can buy but not advertise for sale) and the Events area to see where we are going that month, or to see who's going to the track, etc.

In essence, anyone can become a member of the club and go to the events, etc. The one time $20 gains you access to the whole forum for life and free food at the club BBQ's. We do a lot of stuff now, especially being after being under new club officers since late '98. We try to do at least one cruise per month.
