black- 1963 Impala
New Guy
Hello, I am new to the forum and I an installing a LS1/T56 into a 1963 Impala SS convertible. If anyone has ay experience in doing this I would like to hear from them. I started with a 1999 LS1 from a Corvette. I have installed the engine mount locators and changed the oil pan to an F body pan from a 1998Firebird. I am planning on getting a Street and Performance trans mount for the T56, and the PCM has been reprogrammed to the manual trans and set up for 4.11 R/E and 225 55 17 rear trires. That is about as far as I have gotten. The body is off the car so I can prepare the chassis for the engine and tranny swap. It is a "fly by wire engine and I have the accelerator assembly and a clutch and brake assembly from a 2000Camaro. The T56 was also from a 2000 Camaro.
Thanks Sarge
