New "That guy"!!

Hello all,

I am new to this sight, but not to the product line. I owned a Torch Red (repainted from Bright Red) 1989 Trans-Am WS-6 305 T.P.I. (with a slushbox 700R4) for 11 years that the engine gave up the ghost in 2007 with 190k.

My current toy is a Silver, June of 2002 Trans-Am WS-6 Coupe 6M . I pretty much have all the options available except traction controll, including the Hurst shifter option and Monsoon 10 speaker 500 watt stereo system with 12 disk remote cd changer. It has 82k on the ticker right now. I haven't put any mods on it (yet), but as things break (or I get the itch) I'm sure I will.

Right now, I am a full-time student and am working on my Business Admin. degree. In my previous years, I was a parts-counterman and even had a stint as a parts manager at some manufacturer dealerships. My experience was primarily Toyota and Lexus, but also worked in some Chevy, Pontiac and Jaguar franchises. Working in shops that let me have access to tools and lifts that the "average-Joe" didnt have access to plus the teachings of several good Master Mechanics (I know, I know, they like to call themselves technicians) allowed me to expand my knowledge on how cars work and what to do to fix them (especially mine). I had pretty much disassembled every area of my old '89 at least once.

I was a member of the National Firebird and Trans Am club in the late Nineties and early 2000's. I did chew the fat with people there, especially on technical help on thier car problems. hopefully I can help and be helped by members of this group in the comming future.
