New to Camaro... looking for advice

I am looking to get a 2012 SS, hopefully in the Ashen gray. This will be my first "real" car. My dad had a 67 that he raced a lot and did real well, so I am looking forward to having one in the family again.

It was suggested to me to purchase it from somewhere besides a normal car lot since overhead is lower and they can work much better deals, but I have no idea where to go for that. Any advice?

Everything around the local dealers is automatic, and none of them are SS, and if they are they SS2. I would like a SS1.

If you're looking for a 2012, but are not interested in getting one from a dealer, then you just have to keep your eyes peeled for someone that bought one, drove it for a few months and is ready to get rid of it. Chances are slim, but, it could happen I guess.

Just be patient. They will hit the market soon because the 2013 models will be out and some people have to have the latest and greatest. Look for a 5k example to go for 10k under sticker. Good luck.
