    New to camaro life!

I've recently purchased a 2001 camaro that the previous owner built up with all of the aftermarket parts needed to be quite a performer. I was first exposed to this model when attending a driving school in Pahrump, Nevada. They used a bone stock 02 SS to lead the corvettes around the track. Being a vette owner and a single parent I instantly realized the back seat would be an excellent place to put my car crazy little girl. Now I have to learn all about modern horsepower, computer codes, sensor problems and the like. I hope I am up to it. The car was dyno tuned at LG Motorsports in the Dallas area. It produced 500 hp with an x pipe and bullet headers which I replaced with a 3" no cat system that seems to have dropped the hp somewhat but at least it does not ring the ears of the sheriff in the next lane. I know I will enjoy this car even more than my vette with the 2 xtra foreward gears that help my highway rpm's and the 30 yr newer technology makes better mileage too. Thanks in advance for allowing me to tap into all the knowledge availiable on this forum!

yea 500 seemed like a high number for me to believe too. I have driven new z-06's and it feels like its all over it. Big cam, lousy idle! More fun every time I drive it.
