I am a 29 year old mechanic in Miami, FL. My first car was an Rx-7 and I have owned over a dozen of them. My first job was a GM mechanic and that's what I still am. I have since started my own amateur side company tuning and racing GMs. That's it. This site rocks. I have owned 3 very very impressive Chevy trucks and three 500 hp vehicles. My dream car is an LS1 swapped Rx-7 and a CTS-V. God bless!

Thanks! In my sig is my company's website with tons of personal videos.
My three GM trucks were a '91 GMC Syclone with 29k original miles and mint. I used it as a daily driver to work, and even to haul lots of hurricane debris and to slap around the local SRT-4 kids. The others were an '06 Silverado LBZ/Allison 4x4 loaded with even a sunroof that I personally tuned with EFILive to just under 600 hp / 1000 tq. For years it was the worst nightmare of nitrous powerstrokes around here. And the third was a nitrous V8 '07 new style Silverado, regular cab short bed and all black. It was a WT (base) without a chrome front so it looked like a little ninja. I used to think of it as a reincarnation of my Syclone. I custom built a wet nitrous kit for it with a very close friend and also tuned it with my laptop. My 500+ hp vehicles were my '94 and '95 Rx-7s, and my Duramax. I'll post some pics in a little while. After my divorce I lost everything except a $500 Escort (car lol). My dream is an '04 CTS-V and an '89 Rx-7 with an LS1 swap. But I'll have to work hard and save for a long time. Thanks for the welcome and God bless!Last edited by Torque South; 11-12-2009 at 11:55 AM. Reason: sig

I no longer have any of these cars. Here is my '93 Rx-7, bought with 11k original miles and still smelled new. Even though it was stock and automatic (!!), it used to walk Evos. I hit 155 mph in one just like it on the way up from the Keys, not bad for a car produced in '92 with only 255 hp. Behind it is my ex-wife's '04 Rx-8 fully loaded with headers from Japan, bought with 1 mile on the odo.

Thanks again. I figured this forum will be a great resource for me as I learn more about the LS1 and tuning it. Who can I talk to if searching and browsing does not answer a specific question (a knowledgeable experienced tuner/builder perhaps)?

Welcome to the site.
If you have a question specific to tuning, there is a forum section on the website that pertains to just that. Post your question in there. There are some VERY knowledgeable people on here that should be able to answer your questions.

Thanks guys/gals, will do!
Some more old/sold/gone rides worth mentioning
My next vehicle will have an LSx in in no matter what. I am looking at G8, GTO, C5, CTS-v, but will likely have to settle for something more affordable like a truck or F-body. I would love any of those as long as it's in decent shape and tuneable. Can't wait!!!
