Welcome to the posting side of the board. Please keep in mind...
"Free posts", or posting solely for the purpose of boosting your post count is also not allowed. Many people judge member's credibility based on post count, so we ask that you obtain your post count legitimately. Furthermore, free posts waste server space and ISP bandwidth unnecessarily. Threads to announce your post count are considered free posts and will be locked. “In B4 Da lock” is considered Free posting too.
Signature tests and avatar tests will be allowed in "The Testing" forum, where posts do not count towards your post count. In other forums, they will be treated as free posts.

My intro and a apology of sorts
Hey All,
My name Chris and I live in Garden City, Mi. I have a 1950 Chevy Styleline that is down for improvements and some major rust repair. So far I've swapped out the front drum brakes for a ECI discs. The master cylinder is getting moved up to the firewall. a GM 10 bolt out off a 79-88 G body is a perfect width to run 8" rims. Walton Fab. had my engine mounts to go from the I6 to V8 and the trans crossmember that will take any GM auto (got a turbo 350 right now). oh, and I'm married with 2 kids. 42 year old Automotive product designer.
Mod,
Sorry for being a weasel and trying to get to "10" in 5 minutes or less the other day.

got any pics of the car? Sounds like a good project car. What engine are you going to go with for it?

Thanks guys!
I did keep the original front crossmember, Did you know the '49-'54 Chevies have the same front suspension as the '53-'62 Corvette?
I currently have a 350, but had to go .060 overbore to clean up the cylinders and dont see it lasting too long under my right foot, so a LS swap may be in my future. I know someone sitting on a 6.0L truck motor that I'm wheeling and dealing to get cheap.
Here is my old project journal on Hotrodders.com
