    LS1 Swap Time

    Hi All,

Yep, I'm new here. And I don't know if this is full flame material on this board, but I'm starting to hatch a plan of installing a LS1 into Datsun 240Z. Don't know much about the LS1, other than it is an aluminum block V8, 5.7 ltr, that is a fairly commonly swapped motor into 240z's. I have completed the full resto of a totally stock 1968 Datsun 2000, and now I'd like something not so stock. Anyway, I know very little about modern engines, I've always been carb kinda guy, but I'm ready to learn some new tricks. So, let it fly.

Here is the most commonly seen video of a 240z with an LS1, though I think that is actually an LT1.

This is certainly an LS1, but it doesn't really show much in the way of performance.
