I figure I would join because the LSX engines seem to be all the rage and are extremely popular with the engine swap crowd. What are the differences between the fwd and rwd engines? I have a 92 Camaro and I am looking at a possible LS swap.
    Thanks

Please clarify the question....I don't follow you....however, if what you mean say in the impala ss, its a 5.3l transverse engine, fwd...in the camaros, gto's and vettes, its a 5.7l...or 6.0l....rwd...but still don't really understand the question...

I was just wondering if they have totally different blocks, components etc or if anything can be shared between the two.

I own a 89 and 92. Here is a picture of my 89. I listed the 92 because this is the car that I was thinking of doing a LSx swap on. It currenty is in a somewhat disassebled state.

Thanks. It is one of those cars that looks good far away. It does have some rust issues. The 92 is sadly is in rough shape.
