When you say everything is new, what about water pump and thermostat radiator? You have something blocking coolant flow, or no flowing of the coolant.

yea all that is brand new stuff but as far as a blockage everything seems to be in order because the water pump is still putting water back into the rad so someone suggested checking the airdam so im going to do that and update with what happens

no its brand new only a few months old and i know that they could be faulty or stop working but when i overheated the other day i was watching the t stat open and close but it just wasnt getting the temp down where it should be and i checked the airdam and i see no issues with it so i dont about that one or what im looking for its not jacked up and not hanging so any input on that would be appreciated

How about your cooling fans? Are they coming on as they should?
