Why is everyone so negative about a swap. How hard can it be? What's the challenge in just going to buy a Ls1. But don't have the money for that so I'm going this way.

Ah just think after you are done you pay Ins. on a v6 it's got to be cheaper than a Z or SS. go for it.

i didn't mean to sound negative... you got to realise that it is more than just plopping in an engine... suspension must be redone to accept the bigger power and weight of the new motor... there is a lot that goes in to it...
a LT1 camaro or bird can be bought for $2,000 - $5,000 depending on the condition...

Don't worry about Spaz.... he was abused as a child..... something about "anal" something or other....
Welcome to the board and good luck with the project !!

I understand that all that has to done. It's something for me and my son to do together. I know it's a big project but I want to teach him how to do this stuff. I want to teach him how to build a motor. Nothings ever easy I understand it may be cheaper in the long run. But it's not all gonna be done at once.

No one is negitive, Just trying to say these new camaros are not like the old ones. Little harder to do a swap. + This is a LS1 based forum, only natural that most people in here are partial to the LS1 and can't believe that a camaro actually comes in V-6 form. Also the 95 is a lt1 based platform.
Anyway welcome to you.2000 SS Camaro Heads, Large cam, Fast 90, 9"w/430's and locker, yada yada yada... you get the picture
