I'm New here
I know its alot of you guys say that the Lt-1 is not worth putting money into.
But I have a 95 chevy caprice with the Lt-1 in it and all I want to get out of the motor is about 400 horsepower. I know what I can do but, what is the best cheapest option.

Welcome to LS1.com..
What are your current mods? 400hp crank or axle?
Good set of heads, good cam, better injectors and fuel pump. Some headers and good flowing exhaust, then a tune. Should get you there if not close to it. You'll have to deside on the specs yourself for your goals really. If you've got tech questions many here @ the site will be glad to help out getting you there. Good Luck..Last edited by Smittro; 11-14-2009 at 04:35 PM.

Befor you do anything you need figure how your going to use the car. 400 Hp is good but may not be a good Daily driver. Also chech some of the LT-1 boards and Impala SS boards also. I'm sure someone here has somthing for you. Just put it in the title so they can see it. I heard good things about the Hot Cam.

This car is kinda going to be a daily driver but, not a daily driver. what I mean is that I might drive it two or three days out the week and will be traveling in it on the highway to different car shows and events.

I already have a stroker package but some mechanics say I would have to change my heads for this combo to work right. I'm not going for the extreme. I like get off the line torque power. as you can see I ride big wheels and I would like to spin them with ease.
