I want an LS1, sellin my Mustang, Help me!!!
What up guys, my name is mike and im 18... Right now i have a 95 mustang that used to be a V6 but i swapped in a 5.0... My father is a mechanic and owns his own garage, at first i thought that was good, but its been takin turns for the worse and do to our relationship issues we've decided to sell my mustang, and im going to buy another car that only I am allowed to work on
Ive always wanted an LS1 Trans Am and figured now would be a good time, i have a pretty steady high income so im not afraid to spend some money... Hopefully after everything is said and done ill have about 7k to spend on a car, figured that would be a good start on a 01ish T/A... I dnt know very much information about the LS1 since ive been a 5.0 guy for quite a few years.
Im lookin for a Red T/A with T Tops and Black interior, similiar to my mustang... Tell me about some pro's and con's... I know what i want from the car... Im lookin to do full exhaust, the bolt ons, intake manifold, heads and some nitous!!! School me on this car, it should be my new toy. I have a 95 blazer as my daily driver so im not worried about downtime or driveability
Im tryin to post a pic of my stang, but i cant untill i get 5 posts lol, soo ill be back after 5 lol

I will be the ONLY F-body fan to say keep the stang. You're 18...wait for the new Camaro cuz I know Mustangs could keep up quite well on the 0-80. Anything else a different sorry, but it's not worth it. The stang is nice and decently fast (although I love the highway races to blow everyone's doors off), so drive it into the ground until then!

ive been tryin to decide on what to do... ive been thinking of just finishing he mustang off, it doesnt need much more, its gonna be a little harder doing it myself now without my fathers help but i can manage, the only things left are to get the Kenne Bell supercharger, i gotta drop the trans and do my shift kit, valvebody, and trans brake, and find myself an 8.8 rearend that i can use to build up
The car alredy has everybolt on, heads, cam, intake rr, and all that stuff... all it really needs is a dart block with some forged internals and blower = 600rwhp lol, but i have to talk to my mother again and see what she feels is best for me

no, my father has been a mechanic and built race cars for about 36/37 (i forgot) years but he can be a real asshole sometimes, well mos of the time... the mustang was supposed to be OUR project, more so mine, but its turned into his and im not allowed to touch it and thats not what i want, so my mother said i should sell the mustang and buy another car that only I will work on and he's not allowed to have a say in it
^ thats what i meant about ask my mom lol
