    Wink Hi from Portland, Or

I am totally blown away by the potential of the LS1 engine compared to its cost. I've been building big block fords but now am wanting to experiment with the LS1 engine, I'd like to put one in a Porsche 911/912 body. I've made a bid on a 2004 6.0 truck short block. Which heads should I look for to port/polish myself? I gather the 243 castings are pretty good. I'd like to fab up my own turbocharger for the project, and MAYBE will run a carburator for the sake of simplicity. What are the pro's/con's of carb vs injected? Thanks, Roy

I'll start by saying take the FI system and the ecu, carb, is limited to what you can control with a/f if you get the whole set-up you can increase the timing, injector slope, alot more variables to control, than with carb....Just my .02 worth
