Hi from a newbie from down under
Hi everyone.
What a great forum you have here. I've only just discovered it and I'm looking forward to exploring the site in detail.
I live in Darwin in the Australian tropics (think Florida type climate) and have recently purchase my first LS1 powered car. It's a 2004 Holden Monaro (GTO) in Turismo blue and I love it! I've had it now for just over a month and just can't wait for an excuse each day to drive whenever I can. The cockpit in it is just a good place to be.
I'll post some pics when I can. The Monaro is just stock at present but I'm thinking of adding some mods in the not too distant future.
Anyway, just thought I'd say hi and hope to get back over to the US of A one day soon. I've driven around the New England area, Orlando, Vegas (including the Canyon) and Hawaii, but used only buses in LA and San Fran. Hawaii was my favourite (visited twice) as it was so laid back. But everywhere (except maybe LA - sorry) was pretty and special in some way.
Cheers and thanks for reading this

Welcome to LS1.com!
HI is laid back. Love Maui, myself. Especially Kahana and Front St
And, no apologies needed. LA sucks...
You'll like it here.

Here's some larger pics of my ride.
Thanks for the warm welcome everyone. Here are some larger pics (hopefully)! I believe that Turismo blue mica wasn't available for the GTO. Pity, it really stands out in a crowd.

If the road to Hana is that single lane goat track that the hire car companies refuse to insure you should you venture there... then yeah, I did do it
I spent more time reversing backwards trying not to go over the cliffs then I cared for. But it was fun. Even my three passengers calmed down eventually.

Been a while since I've visited.
I thought I'd post some more pics of the Monaro with some new wheels. They're Blaque Diamond Spiders; 19x8.5 front and 19x9.5 rear.
Now has a mafless tune, full 3 inch exhaust and OTRCAI

feel free to throw some pics in the GTO pics thread in the GTO forum. You'll get a warm reception in there for sure. Good looking car. You've had it what.....5 months now give or take? Just as much fun now as it was 5 months ago huh? Just great cars.
My brother borrowed my 04 gto and bought an 06 less than a year later. We always joke about how we make excuses to drive it somewhere. "honey, be right back, have to go to the store for pencils."
