Hi all...New member here
Been browsing here for a while just signed up the other day and I think it's time I posted an intro. My name is Bill just bought my first f-body it's a red 01 Z28 with 28k on the odo. tan leather and bone stock...just the way I like it. I have been a fan of these cars for a long time, since the late 70's. Well 30 yrs later I finally got one. Don't plan on doing a whole lot to it right away, except for new speakers (got to have good sound), a good buff and wax. I'm not into how much faster can I go, for me it goes fast enough. Eventually I'll get the mod itch and prob do a couple of things like a K&N, an air box lid, and the coolant bypass mod. Other than that I'm just looking forward to warmer days, pop the tops and cruise. I've been looking for the right car for a long time, the car is in excellent shape and I think I scored a good deal at under $10K. Anyway Glad to be here and looking forward to reading and posting...

Pewter- 2002 T/A WS6
Hard to beat cruising around in a car with an open top. I'm looking forward to more warmer weather too. Congrats on getting the car you wanted, it's a great feeling! I'd agree with you in saying that you'll eventually get the itch to start modding it (even if just a little); it's really hard to resist. Anyway, enjoy and welcome to LS1.com!

Yea I know what you mean about the mods. I love cars and love to work on them, so I can see myself doing a few things to it. But at the same time I have a thing for keeping things original...From what I'm reading an SLP lid, a K&N and the coolant bypass are good first mods...Not sure I want to do the lower air box (free ram air) mod....most folks say you don't get a whole lot out of it except a dirty filter.
