hello, new here

well my name is alicia and i own a '01 WS6 Trans Am. i have just owned it for 3 mo. i bought her on oct. 2 2009. i did have a "99 T/A that i'd owned since 2003. unfortunatly on monday morning on aug. 31, as me and my husband was leaving the T/A nats up in dayton, ohio to return to tennessee, we was in an accident that resulted in my T/A getting totaled. me and my husband poured our heart and soul in that car, and we are already doin the same w/ our new '01. currently i'm saving some money to get her repainted. she is black and will stay black, but will have a more customized paint job. i had a red bird airbrushed on the hood of my white '99 and i want one for my new bird. a big reason for me joining this site is that me and my husband can use all the help we can get. one big item is that since the engine and tranny out of my '99 didn't get damaged in the wreck we will be switching it over to my 67 chevy truck that i've been wanting to start on for quite sometime now. the truck needs a ground up rebuild, but atleast now i have the engine and tranny i've always wanted for it (i guess that's one good thing that came from the wreck) oh, a little more about myself: i'm an army veteren, i served 4 years active duty from 96-2000 was stationed at ft.campbell most of the time, and i'm from east tennessee about 45min from bristol (the world's fastest half mile) and yes i'm a true tennessean, down to earth hillbilly all the way. well that's about all that comes to mind now, if there be any questions please feel free to ask, i'm about as friendly as a person can get

Welcome to the forum Alicia. Great introduction. Sounds like you have a fun build ahead of you. Lots of great people on here that are very helpful.

Post some pictures of the car when you get a chance.
