I am planning a car build for my daughter. a 1979 Z28 and i am thinking about a 4.8 out of a truck in it for gas milage and a good driver. I have a 79 RS camaro also with a sb400 in it. any info on this kind of swap would be help full

why got with a 4.8??? a LS1 gets great gas milage and you could pick one up off e-bay for around 1.8-3k...

I have found several 4.8 for under 700 with wireing and computer. I am thinking about a th 200r4 for the tranny. since the daughter will be a new driver and she will want to go all the time i thought that the 4.8 would be better on gas and not have as much Hp for her to get in to trouble with
