Just picked up a 1999 TA - SLP Firehawk.
I tried to include pic but not sure if it is attached.
Just went out to move it to take a pic and it won't start. This was supposed to be an introduction but evidently it is a request for help now.
It ran fine and has been started with no problem 3-4 times. It turns over great, acts like maybe it is a security system issue.

Anyway,
What I was going to say;
I had a 68 Firebird in high school and thought picking up this 4th gen might be good. One of the last real Pontiacs and all. It is in pretty good shape and the miles are low for an almost 20 year old car but still high, 154k. I am hoping it is a lot of hwy miles. I read the LS 1 often needs rebuilt around this time so a little nervous. No smoke, runs strong, sounds good. I don't know what kind of oil has been run since I did not buy from owner. Should I go with a synthetic or what do you think, this is the first thing I want to do. Oil pressure at idle is 25-30 on the guage.
I have two different brands of tires and I get a shimmy around 40 mph. What is good choice that is maybe on the reasonbly priced side. Any tips you might have for me as I take over this project is greatly appreciated.
I am curious too if the hood and side flames might be a factory option. Not sure I love them but they do seem to be really good work. Has anyone seen these before?
I guess most of all right now though does any one have an idea about this possible ignition kill activation?
