Hello everyone...kind of a n00b
I was a member here a couple years back (before the LS1/LS2 split) under the name IZEMANZ28. I don't know how many of the members from back then are still around but I'm happy to be back. I sold my Z for my Porsche which has just undergone a major rebuild/modification including:
- Garrett Super 75 ball bearing turbo/ 8cm2
- Lindsey stage 1 racing head/high velocity exhaust
- #274 grindshaft racing cam
- Spec stage 3 hybrid clutch
- 55lb siemens injectors
- Bosch high volume fuel pump
- adjustable FPR
- Lindsey custom chips
- Lindsey wastegate
- Lindsey manual boost controller
- Lindsey hard pipes
- Lindsay stage 2 MAF
- Innovate o2 system
- Lindsey stage 3 intercooler
- 3" race exhaust
- Crossdrilled crankshaft
- Raceware headstuds/rod bolts
I also have a fiberglass hood and racing bumper (after fairly extensive weight reductions I'm down to about 2700lbs). I'll be going to a lexan hatch as soon as I can find a decent setup with a 968 wing. I have crossdrilled rotors w/ adjustable koni yellows all the way around. Cosmetically I have 996 twist wheels (17x9, 17x7) red calipers and a momo race wheel.
And the ace up my sleeve is my custom 2.7L (all bore) block. I just had the Darton MID wetsleeves installed (see pics) and bored out to 104mm each to go with a set of custom pistons from Diamond racing. I was deployed out here to Japan before I could wrap everything up so it isn't 100% complete yet. I'll be back in CA in July and I hope to have it running and tuned before August. I'm looking to do 400rhwp/450tq on ~15lbs (but as you can see I'm set up to do far more). Here's a few pics, I don't have any pictures of the car since the new front end and new paint job (still black) but the shot of the block is after the sleeving and my new turbo next to the stock k26.
I've done all the work on the Porsche, so if anyone here has one or is interested in buying one (a 951 or 944 Turbo) I can answer just about any type of question reguarding these cars (or at least know where to find the answer). So anyways, great to be back and I look foward to talking with all of you.
