Hello Camaro Enthusiest
I've owned a Camaro since I was 16 and and am now 49 yrs. old. I've had an array of these fine machines. My first was a 70 1/2 from there a '68, another 68, 72, 73, 81, 85, 94, now a '91 and a '97. I especially liked the '72 Z, and the full optioned '68 396 SS/RS.
I bought my son for his 16th birthday a pristine '91 RS 5 spd. in 2006 from the original owner. We added 17" Chrome replica IROC wheels, a Z hood w/ power blisters, IROC Grille w/ driving lights, 4th gen posi w/ disc, wonderbar, and converted it from manual to power windows and locks. We haven't decided which way to go with the powerplant as we have 2 LT1's (1 iron, 1 aluminum head) and a couple of regular 350's to work with. Yesterday we picked up a '97 SS so most likely he'll assume control of the SS and I'll sink some money into a motor for the RS. I probably will sell it and look for another SS as I am fond of the LS1's.
I've had a lot of super nice cars and have bought and paid for every one of them. I've even went hungry at times in order to complete a project. Of coarse that was in my younger days. Now I eat first and play later. My wife and i started dating when she was 16 and I was 18. Many, many nights she'd be dressed up ready to go somewhere and ended up sitting on a creeper, stool, or 5 gal. thinner can while I and my buddies worked on our Camaro's in my Dad's garage as we all had one because we couldn't afford Corvette's.
I never went the Corvette way and instead opted to stick with the Camaro. Now my son continues to carry on the legacy (with a little help from Dad!).Last edited by 2kflhr; 02-16-2008 at 05:07 PM.

I've thought about digging the pics up and scanning them but never have. I'll make it my next rainy day project and get some posted.
BTW, I like your avatar. I live in the town that considers itself "Race City USA" due to a majority of the NASCAR teams being based here. I live within 2-3 miles from the bulk of the teams' shops, about 4-5 miles from DEI, and 2-3 miles from Jr.'s house. It's a common occurrence to see the drivers out and about Mooresville unless the races are in town, that's then they go into hiding.Last edited by 2kflhr; 02-17-2008 at 06:42 PM.

She has a younger sister married with 2 girls but when we were all younger I think I picked up on a little jealousy over the years when her sister and I would take off to the various rod runs in the 80's in Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. Her husband was, and is into grilling and smoking turkeys and Boston butts and the wife and I were into smoking tires
