    Hello to all:

    Hello to all:

    Another new member from Indiana........

    (Note to Z28/Moderator: Although I have lived in Indiana most of my adult life, I was born in the Cherokee Indian Nation Territory of Mayes County, OK, just to the east of you. I remember trips with my dad to Tulsa when I was quite young........ So, I'm actually a transplanted Sooner.)

    I hope to learn a few new things about improving and maintaining my modded '00 Z-28, and perhaps contribute a few things along the way as well.

    As you might gather from my "site name," I also own a "restified" '79 L-82 Vette that helps keep the Z-28 from getting too lonesome in the garage!

    All Power Accessories
    DiabloSport Predator fuel and ignition re-map (including CAGS disable, thank God!)
    SLP Airbox w/ K & N filter
    Flowmaster Stainless 3" Y-pipe & back-pipe, then custom 1-into-2 Wye into 2 @ 4" Supertrapps
    KYB Adjustable shocks
    17" Vette rims w/ Z-rated 45-series tires
    Monsoon Audio Systems w/ Audiobahn Speakers
    MSD Superconductor Plug wires on NGK V-tip plugs
    Slotted & drilled PowerStop rotors
    UMI Strut Tower Brace
    30 MPG @ steady 70 mph and 1320' @ 12.95 secs. & 102.3.mph (an awesome combo!)
    A lot of other stuff that I could list, but you're probably not wanting to read any more......

    Just 25 miles west of you in the New Carlisle area. You know, over where we get pounded by those lake-effect snows quite often.........

    Well, here are the caveats for that time:

    1. That time was with an (admittedly never-to-be-repeated) perfect reaction time and hookup, in other words, pure luck there. No skill on my part claimed......
    2. The car had about 30,000 miles on it at that time, and had NITTO drag radials on it. The car has a lot more miles on it now, and I sold those tires, so again, I cannot ever repeat that time.

    Once in a lifetime, admittedly.......

    yea thats not too far at all and you guys definitely get your snow. its been pretty quiet over here for us this winter.
