Hello all..
Been browsing and reading up for the past couple weeks. Finally registered. Picked up a 99 Z28 6m few weeks back. So far i can already tell this is gonna be a money pit Though, its all in fun. Right now the cars stock, 100k miles, and the bozo before me cut the exhaust off after the exhaust manifolds. So, first things first will be getting that fixed. Other than that, figure i picked myself up a fun new toy for 4k.

thanks. and yeah, was a hell of a deal. the nice part about it is it'll be the first toy i've had thats already fully paid for. And with no payments to make, can start playing with it right away.

Welcome, from your northern border state Sounds like a good deal, not having to make payments will surely make up for the things you'll likely have to upgrade/replace due to the assumed incompetence of the former owner

True. Though, i figure so long as the bottom end isn't hurt (doesnt seem to be) I'll be alright. Within 6-8 months I'm hoping to have most of what i'd like to do done. should have the exhaust fixed up withing 2-3 weeks. then start on the heads/cam/intake. though, prolly collect all the parts and do all the work at once. then go have it tuned. Regardless, i do believe this is going to be a blast!

Sounds awesome. Just make sure you spend your money wisely, do as much research as possible, both on the site and with the guys you buy from. I recommend talking with Texas Speed if you haven't already, they do a great job in pointing people in the right direction based on their goals, they're in your home state, and they have a lot of great stuff (including X-pipes and true dual exhaust kits, you might check that out too if you haven't got other plans already)
