Hail from WI
Hey gang. I don't have an LS1 yet. Still driving my 02 6banger bird but started shopping last night. I figure I'll need some help with VIN and door panel codes. Looking to grab a WS6

I bought the 2002 V6 in 03 with 27k on it. I've had it ever since and she has 150k on her now. Daily Driver and a fantastic car. I had put some thought in to restoring it and I may tinker a bit. But I also thought why not get my TA. I've seen quite a few with less than 25k miles on for a fair price. It is in fantastic shape I feel considering the miles. I have the notorius door panel cracks but other than that we're good. I wish I would have known about them BEFORE they split..lol

That is a fantastic read and a great printable list to bring along. My ADD would be all over without a list. I did find one I liked today on autotrader....my buddy (who works at a dealer) ran the vin and it's on the title milage discrepency and 13 other things....was listed as only have 15k miles. Disappointed but they're alot of others out there to lok through and I don't mind flying x country to pick it up... =D

2002 Z28 A4 NBM- Sadly now demodded :(
Welcome to the site. Lots of good info here.
If you buy a low mileage WS6 then keep the bird as a DD, that way the WS6 might stay low mileage.
My 98 has 183,xxx on it and is the reason my 02 is only at 50,xxx.67 Camaro: K-K + 797-z (look it up), 454/Th400/4.10 12-bolt = 6mpg, PS/PDB/PW tilt, tach, gauges...
2005 Corvette LS2/M6 Magnetic Red Metallic (What else would it be?) w/ Cashmere interior
2002 Z28: NBM/Tan, MTI smooth lid, smooth bellows, !AIR, !cats, 1-3/4" QTP SS LT's, 2-1/2" TD's with X-pipe, MagnaFlows dumped at axle, custom welded SFC's, MidWest Chassis body mount adjustable T/A, 3400 stall, 3.23 gears (was 2.73). Tuned: 343rwhp/357rwt (before TD's). Best: 12.559 @ 108+, 1.73 60' @ 3500' DA w/MT ET Street DR's.

That was my thought. A bird for a "winterbeater" and the TA for the hot rod. Although The bird deserves better. I thought about trading her in for a minivan or something good on gas. I get 31mpg on the highway with that thing.
