    Greetings

    Hello,
    I was looking for some info on the LS-1 engine that I think my car has. I didn't realize that there is a community of LS-1 enthusiasts. I'm really glad I stumbled upon this site. Now if I can locate the information I was looking for, I'll be 2 for 2. Best wishes to all... D.

    Engine info

    Thanks for responding.
    I am looking to find out if the 5.7L in a 2000 vette is an LS-1. If so what is the horsepower, torque etc. I'm in no way a mechanically inclined individual, and the owners manual was of no help.
    People ask me about the engine, and I have just had to say "I'm not sure."
    This is what motivated me to look up the LS-1, and find this site.
    Does hat make sense?

    All Corvettes from 1997-2004 and all V8 fbodies(Camaro's & Trans Am's) from 1998-2002 have the LS1 in it.

    The 5.7L in a 2000 Vette is in fact an LS1 to answer your question
