Welcome! Best advice is to build the rest of the car before you go for broke under the hood. Subframe connectors, lower control arms, panhard bar and a torque arm that moves the front mount off the transmission are all good ideas. Check out UMI Performance as they make great stuff.

You have an A4, so there is a chance that the stock 10 bolt will live for a while once you start upping the power. However, add sticky tires and regular track outings and its shelf life will expire sooner rather than later. Lots of good info and great members on the site, so feel free to ask away on anything.

Agree with Jeff. After upgrading the drivetrain and suspension to handle the power, the only thing that will limit you is your budget. Long tube headers, a stall and tranny cooler, and a good tune - check out site sponser Frost - will more than likely satisfy you with only a small amount of work and money.

Welcome to the site. Agreed with Jeff and Knight Suspension and handling then start with some headers, stall, tune, heads, cam and intake and the list goes on.

    Welcome to LS1.com!

    I agree with everyone above.

On the 10-bolt rear, as Jeff said it'll prolly live somewhat longer with the A4, but imho lots of burn outs = dead 10-bolt.

The 3800 can break them in that column stock.

    In my opinion,,

Subframe connectors, front (or @ least) rear suspension (all of it), torque arm, and axle.

This where I would make a start, probably in that order as well.

Then move on to the drive line, mounts, DS, tranny, and so forth.

You can go in many different dirrections with it.

It can help if you have a specific goal in mind, and give us some ideas.

We have many threads @ your disposal, and knowledgeable people glad to help here..

    Enjoy!
