Sting Red- 2004
G`day,newbie `ere
G`day,I am a newbie and this is my first post on this site.My name is " Blowme " and I am also known by other aliases,Goombeast,Handywork, but my wife calls me Chris.I am 40+ yo boilermaker with a good mechanical streak and have had a few " Generals " in my time. The last was a VY LS1 4EOD Auto SV 8 Sedan coloured in Sting Red that I have just sold.I am now looking at a VX SS LS1 6 speed manual Sedan in white. The name "Blowme" comes from a saying that I had printed on the rear window of my 304 VK in large type and it read " I would rather be BLOWN than STROKED ". I am into cars,motorsport,motorcycles,karts,4 wheel drives and have a thing for steam engines and managed to do a full restoration on a Class 10 Engine a few years ago which now takes part in Maitland`s Steam Fest as well as reconditioning and refitting of the firebox and the boiler in the 38 Class 01 steam engine.I raced motorcycles for a fair stint both on and off road and come from a family and crew of petrol heads that raced anything that had wheels. We love it and we can guarantee that none of us will never change.Well that`s enough of boring you to death with my little story.I`m glad to be here and hope to see you about, cheers

Welcome aboard, I have to say a man who works on steam engines as a career is quite rare. I have a family friend who makes scale locomotives and has been making one from the ground up for more years than I can count-the craftsmanship into each hand made part is extraordinary. Any pics of your latest projects?
