Chevelle LS1 Swap

Hi everyone, I am new to the site and just wanted to say hi, and tell you a little about my project. I have a 71 chevelle that i built to run in True street ten five tire class here in texas. The car is almost complete, but the wife and I just moved into our house that we just built. Well, now i don't have the cash to campaign a race car, so i sold the big block, fuel system and tranny out of the car and with that cash i am putting together a strong LS1 and six speed combo for it. That way i can cruise it around and get some use out of the car, and it not just sit around and collet dust.
