White- 1998 Camaro Z28
Central California...Soon to be owner
Hey guys.
Been reading on the forums for awhile now and found this to be probably the most informative place to find information about the LS1 engine.
I currently don't own a car that has an LS1. Right now my daily driver is a 2004 Toyota Matrix XRS. It's not a bad car, but it honestly doesn't have even close to enough power to please me, hence why it's my daily driver.
My father-in-law owns a 1998 White Z28 with flowmasters and that's about it. It's basically stock. The wife and I have told him countless times that whenever he's ready to sell we are ready to buy. But as of lately I've become a little more ancy and been looking around for late model (2000-2002) SS or z28 to be my "for fun" car or my daily driver I don't know.
But today while my car was in the shop I was driving his Camaro and I have to say I really have the itch now and I've been seriously considering selling my car (I have about $6K in equity in the car) and using that as a down payment on a Camaro.
It's soo much fun to drive, and just today I was leaving the dentist and a mid 90's GT pulls up next to me and it's some typical California chick (bleach blonde, fake knockers, HUGE sunglasses), SHE revved on me! haha...I didn't know but I suspected that there wasn't much under the hood. So I took off on her and left her about 4 cars back, then I backed out of it cause I knew there was a speed trap coming up.
God I LOVE American muscle, there just something about a raspy exhaust note that you just can get out of something that comes from Japan.
So thanks for having this site.
Hope to be on here later saying that I'm the proud owner of a sweet new to me camaro.

White- 1998 Camaro Z28
Thanks, theres a place about 90 miles from where I live that deals exclusively in Camaro's they have pretty decent prices as far as good cars at good prices, between 12-17 for a 2001-2002 SS with 40-60k miles.
But I'm definately looking locally and for an unmodded, unabused car, so I know I'm going to pay a little more for that but I'm on the prowl and i'm not in a huge hurry, but a small one .
Thanks

There is someone here up north selling a forged/supercharged black ss w/ rear end and supporting mods for 14,500
Post up pics and info when you find the car your looking for, you also might want to reconsider cars for 20g's flat you can pick up a stock c5 z06, or 16,000 base c5's all day long.

Welcome to LS1.com...
You're talking about Robert in Sylmar. United Motors. He's a nice guy. He's always got Camaro's and T/As.
Hope you find what you're looking for.
Oh, and just so ya know... If you ever pull up along side of this California chick, you ain't getting no 4 car lengths on me
