Boosted 55 Buick in Northeast PA.

Hi guys, I'm restoring a 55 Buick special. I'm now getting to the engine portion. I will be running a 99 Silverado 5.3. And I think a 4l80.
The bottom end is at the machine shop now. I had the crank polished and the cylinders cleaned up. I was going to reuse the stock pistons.
This is my first ls build/swap. I'm fascinated with how easy it is to make power with them. Most of what I know I found on Matt Happels sloppy wiki page.
Maybe I'm dreaming but based on that I would like to have 5-600 to the rear. I was going to just copy one of his builds if it's really that easy.
I was hoping if I started a build thread here I could get help and advice as I go. I will definitely need help with wiring and picking out the right hot rod parts. Like the Cam as an example.

Here's some pics of what I have done so far.

Looks like fun....please keep with updates.

using a 5.3 only way you're going to get the numbers you're looking for is with nitrous or force induction.

I know of a 5.3 with a good turbo will crank 700+ to the wheels in a 4th gen TA in my area.

Here's a link to the build thread on the hamb. About 400 pictures of what I've done so far.

I'll start a new thread on here later probably.
