'98-'99 LS1 vs. '00+

I am looking to buy a WS6 Trans Am in the next few months. Are there any significant performance differences between the '98-'99 models and '00 or newer?

the 98-00 have a more radical cam, 01-02 have the ls6 intake manifold. they're both fairly equal in performance. i couldn't tell the difference in my 99' SS and my 02' ws6. i would go with the 01 or 02. saves you the money on buying the ls6 manifold plus the newer ones are going to be in better condition in most cases.
