First timer whats up guys! Need some info.i just bought a 95 lt1 short block and wanted to put it in a 87 chevy truck with a efi set up.lookin for some advise as to what combination to use as far as heads and intake combinations.can i convert to efi using the right heads?what would make the most power?i dont know if i can just put on 87 to 95 cast center bolt heads or can i use the aluminum heads the belong on the lt1.also i dont know how this would work with the reverse flow cooling.any help would be great thanks.

    Welcome to the site!

The '87 heads will not bolt to the LT1, plus LT1 heads have better flow potential. How much power are you looking for? Mild or Wild? For mild setups i've always like the LE1 kit from Lloyd Elliot. For wild combos I turn to Advanced Induction. I'm making 440rwhp N/A on the stock stroke with one of their combos right now.

So the 87 heads are out.I thought the block was still the same.Ok how does that affect me using a efi intake manifold?do i have to go tpi?It is a truck so nothing to crazy just want to have more sack than the old stock 91 350 that was in it.This is a budget build.can i use the lt1 aluminum heads with the efi or tpi only?

You can use the stock LT1 intake, Victor E, carb intake...whatever you wan't. If your just looking for a little more pep than stick with the stock LT1 manifold.

Can a 95 lt1 be converted to efi?

STILL TRING TO FIND OUT WHAT THE DIFFERENCE IS WITH A 91 350 CHEVY BLOCK AND A 95 LT1 BLOCK.iS IT A DIFFERENT BOLT PATTERN?aS FAR AS HOW THE HEADS BOLT?

The LT1's coolant and oil return passages will not match with the 1991 block without some welding and maching done to the head.
