2001 ss camaro

curious which ss cars in 2001 came with ls6 intake.?. can i read in the vin # somehow or will i need to take off the intake an check the part # ?

All 2001 and 2002 Camaro V8's came with the ls6 intake. It was 98-00 that had the LS1 intake.

ok,i have a friend with an 02 ss an he just changed his cuz he claimed it was an upgrade.

Well if he put the LS6 intake on, he put the same intake on it that was already on it

There are other aftermarket intakes that are larger. The most popular would be the FAST.

no,it looks exactly like mine does. no egr or anything else. i ask if they were exactly the same an he said yes. i changed a knock sensor in my friends 99 and i had to remove a egr hose besides that they look alike right? internals are just bigger? no fast intake ls6 intake....lol dumb as bosnian..jk

His 2002 and your 2001 intake are identical. They both are the LS6 intake.

The LS1 intake looks similar to the LS6 intake. The LS6 does not have the EGR provisions. I am talking about OEM intakes.

There is a SLP LS6 intake which does have the EGR provisions on it. Those are not heavily populated though.
