Welcome to the site! Looks like a healthy list of mods.

You should come join us at GM Carlisle in June. We'll have an LS1.com tent up on the fairgrounds with refreshments and fun.

Thanks Jeff. I will definitely look into showing up in June, I'm over in Easton a lot anyways. If anyone is interested in getting together for a Black Bear Performance Tune Meet, they are having one in Bridgewater NJ April 26-27. According to their calendar of events on their website, they still have openings available. Going to get my Z06 maf tuned in and to do an in-person drive tune.

Never make it out to eastern PA very much - we have a place down by the drag strip in Beaver Springs so that is where we tend to go (about an hour north of Carlisle). There is a Fall cruise to Harvey's Lake that we went on two years ago with a couple of other site members. Does Black Bear specialize in late model GM?

Their website says only 96+ GM vehicles. I learned about them from a Chevy truck forum while installing the truck coils. Jeff-I'm having some trouble uploading the img code for my photobucket pics (about 7 in all) and also the link to Black Bear's site; do I have to wait a certain amount of time before posting links?

It's either 10 days and 10 posts, or 15 days and 15 posts. The site security settings were tweaked a while back to deal with an onslaught of spammers. Once you hit the minimum, just copy and paste the [IMG] code from your photo hosting site into your post on here.

We have nothing at all in our area for late model shops. Have to do it all ourselves... which isn't really a bad thing.

Where did you mount your P/S cooler? I did the same thing, removed the stock cooler and installed a tube and fin mini cooler down on the K-member.

On the rear side of the lower plastic shroud (the piece that hits speed bumps sometimes)..I zip tied an autozone mini fin cooler to the holes in the frame below the radiator. I used weather stripping above and to the side of the fins for protection.

That's a good looking undercarriage on your profile, I've been thinking about making the switch to the magnaflow catback from my flowmaster system after I do ARH or Kooks long tubes. Still debating whether the price difference between the 1 7/8" and the 2" tubes is worth getting the 2's. I've been leaning towards ARH after reading about kooks fitment issues but at ws6store the kooks 2" LTs are a lot cheaper. I've heard both are exceptional products though.

I didn't have any real issue with the Kooks install. At the time, I still had the stock engine mounts in the car and my only clearance issue was a flange on the underbody on the driver side. I nipped it with my die grinder maybe 1/8" and the header slid home. I did spend some time on the catted-Y rotating the pieces to gain the best clearance - the brace under the driver seat is kind of close but I have never had it clunk. This being said, I don't think you can go wrong with either ARH or Kooks.

Welcome to the site. I, like Jeff, also have Kooks headers; 1-7/8".

They tuck up really well and the overall quality is great. I'm lowered on Strano springs and have never had an issue with ground clearance.
