Is it worth a tune(LSX Tune)

Well for now all im gonna do is No cats, Hooker exhuast, Exhuast cut out, SLP lid with K&N filter, Smooth bellow, 160 Thermo, TB bypass and 4.10's. I know i would need a tune just for the 4.10's to correct the speedo but i can deal with it being off since every car ive had has been that way. My main thing is, is it worth getting a tune with these mods and if so how much RWHP would i get out of a tune. I was thinking of using the LSX tune since there having a special for 125.00 and since im not gonna be putting on headers for a long time i figured why not get a tune. With the mods i have and a tune how much RWHP you guys think i might get just curious, i will be taking my car to the dyno soon meaning after i get a tune. Appreciate any advice and thanks in advance.

getting the headers would be a great thing for u to do. but the tune might be worth it for u if ur not going to be putting anything in it for a while. itll definately make ur car feel like its running as lot better.

You could probably get by without the tune, but both the gears and cat removal will require a tune to get your car right (speedo and stop the SES light from no cats). But I say get the tune. You will feel the gain for sure, so the $125 is worth it.

it is definitely worth it and if you decide to mod later on i'm pretty sure all you do is pay shipping and lsx tune will re-tune free. (Correct me if i'm wrong Frost.)

Its def. worth the 125, no ses lights because of removed cats and the car runs alot better as well!

If i get a tune how much RWHP do you think i might get out of the tune and overall for the car. Im hoping to pull about 320 rwhp till i save up enough money down the road to do headers but that wont happen for a while.

I can let you know tomorrow I just installed kooks headers, cat delete, AIR delete,4" mufflex exhaust, K&N filter,getting the tune done in the morning.I dyno'd 297 rwhp stock and was told to expect 40 to 50 hp.

For an M6 car with those boltons, the tuning will make a difference that you can feel. In addition to that and the other items mentioned in the thread, it will eliminate skip shift for you also.
