I use a wide band from Innovative Motorsports. I've never had any other so I can't compare. But there are others out there. Hopefully others will chime in with their experiences,,,,,but Innovative seems to be a popular choice.

I use an innovate LM-1 due to how portable it is but if I was using it on a dedicated car I'd go with the LC-1.

Im used to a screwdriver and a timing light to tune a car, this is my first rodeo with FI. So what do you mean when you say portable?? I figured you could wire up the sensor and flip a switch to use it when tuning and turn it off and ues the closed loop for daily driving and such. I might use the HP tuner on my truck, but its a daily driver and I wouldn't expect to use a wideband. So i guess the LC-1 would be fine, but does leaving the sensor in the exhaust all the time shorten its life? Keep in mind I dont drive the SS everyday. Thanks

if the sensor is in the exhaust stream it has to be on or it'll foul. A wideband operates completely seperate of your stock narrowbands so you'd have a bung welded into the exhaust and then put the wideband sensor in that bung. I got the LM-1 because it's portable, which means I can move it from car to car. An LC-1 is mounted. If I were you and you're planning on tuning both vehicles I would get the LM-1 so you can move it around when you need to. It's much better to use the wideband when tuning. The bungs come with a screw on cap that you can use to block it off when you don't have the sensor in it.
