2 year/model not vin locked meaning you can purchase for an 00 ls1 fbody & 01 ls1 fbody & tune as many as you'd like of those two years. Each additional year is $199 up to 4 on your unit then $399 after.
Powerful scanner
Editor looks to be better then ls1edits
2 min read times compared to 15 mins for edit
30 second write times compared to 5-10 mins for edit
pcm crash protection
hptuners.com forum whereas edit only has email help
help file which will be integrated further with v2.0

as of now HPtuners is the way to go. EFI is also coming up. They have integrated alot of things into their software that eliminates the need for spreadsheets. Either way you can go wrong. They cost about the same. Both have free updates for life (thanks Bill and foff) they're both better than edit because they have their own scanners built into the software, where as with edit you needed efi anyways. It will take some time to learn. Once you get the hang of it things will begin to click....so Ive heard.

Actually EDIT now has a scanner built in. But their licensing sucks.
I run HPTuners for tuning and EFI Live for my Scanner.
