uh oh.. problem with my computer?

i think my computer is going out.,, i got in today started up the car and backed it out and turned it off. then i got back in 30 min later and i had no lights, no sounds and the car would make no noise when i tried to turn it over. I got back out and tapped on the pcm and and got back in and it cranked but ran real poorly at an idle surging between 400 rpm and 900 back and forth, as i drove it, it got better after 5 minutes. what is the deal.. it is 02 ss stock ls1 m6.. no mods except for lt's which i did 2 years ago. i havent done anything lately to the car.

Sounds like power or ground problem. I'd ckeck all your conections very good, if you have a friend and a voltmeter check everywhere for resistance and voltage drops... Bad voltage can make computers act very strange

Just a wild thought, but is the drain behind your comp pluged full of schtuff? It's possible the comp was subjected to standing water. Especially in places down south where salt gets into everything. Rain or just washing the car can creat a salt water pool under/around the comp. Salt water can get into almost any rubber seal over time.. Crazy I know..

Back in this area here commonly catches leaves and such causeing water to sometimes pool around the comp..
