    tuning my car

i know this has been discussed before, but i wanted to know if my car would really benefit from a tune.My car is currently running good it has stainless long tube headers with 3 inch y pipe also stainless with dynomax muffler no cats.I changed the 02 sensors in the front to 02 sensor for a corvette part number 13111 and i put 02 sims in the back.I have no check engine light and the car feels strong but i wonder if there is more horsepower left from not tuning.Thank you in advance for any advice.

Recommend sending you ecm to TunebyFrost.com for one of his mail order tunes. Not expensive and fast turn around.

Is tune will fine tune it and free up some factory restricted HP and TQ.

Agree. The longtubes affect airflow through the engine and although the feedback from your O2's will adjust fueling on the fly it is not optimal. In addition to adjusting the tune for this, Frost will work a bit of his own magic that simply makes the engine run better -- at least ours did. Have him set the rear O2 error reporting to off and you can ditch the sims entirely.
