    Trouble Codes!!!

Hey guys, nothing serious, just have the ses light on, took it to advanceautoparts..........

    DTC
    P0412
    Secondary Air
    Injection System
    Valve A Malfunction

    P0418
    Secondary Air
    Injection System
    Relay A Malfunction

I cleaned and recharged the K&N filter, then reset the computer, started the car and the ses light came back on.......

I did free ram air mod, but the light didnt come on till a week after i did that.....

First thing to check when both those codes are thrown at the same time is the AIR pump fuse under the hood. You can look up the diagnostics for them at gearchatter.com for your year.

Edit: Just thought of maybe another possibility - when you did FRA you didn't kink the AIR hose restricting air to the pump did you? Knew a guy who plugged the end of the hose when he did a lid instead of putting a filter on it and it threw AIR codes - can't remember exactly which one though.

    Isnt that EGR??

I would delete the AIR and be done with it unless you still have cats.

so anyway iv had more time to think about it.......if i were to remove air and egr crap i would have to have them deleted from the pcm to keep the ses light off right?

Its all about preferences...I love the flow and sound i get from LT's, Ory, and Catback, but i kinda miss smelling clean after i drive lol.

Exhaust gas smells terrible but it is worth it imo.
Im not sure what Ohio is like...If they have an emissions inspection, its not worth the hassle to delete the EGR,AIR, and then cats because you have no AIR. Its hard to pass unless you know someone who could do it under the table-like.
I live in Virginia, and the only way I can drive my car is because I have SC plates.
I know for a fact that Nazi Virginia will butt rape you on emissions related stuff.

That is unless you know someone...

Kinda sucks, but there are ways around every rule.

If you do delete the egr and air then yes you will have to get a tune to turn off the SES.

No, it will smell when/if you delete the cats. The AIR is what cools the cats at certain RPM,so without the Cats there is no need for AIR, and if delete the AIR, your cats will overheat and gut themselves (go boom).

My passenger side cat did just this lol. The car was acting funny, and one night I started to hear a rattle in my exhaust, and it wound up being chunks of honeycomb from the cat. When I did my exhaust, I cut open the muffler and found all that honeycomb crap. I then cut open the cat, and it was completely empty. Gutted itself lol.

SO if i delete my air/egr now, then MAYBE later on down the road i put a ORY on the car, IT WILL STINK THEN??? HOW BAD??
